On July 19, members of the New York leadership team will strap on their helmets, pump up their tires, and bike more than 17 miles as part of the annual Soldier Ride. This event brings together community members, wounded warriors, and their families to show appreciation and raise funds for programs aimed at supporting veterans who have paid the dues on the battlefield.

Soldier Ride provides resources that go directly to funding mental health services, career counseling, and long-term rehabilitative care.

The Soldier Ride offers a unique route that works its way through the Babylon neighborhood on Long Island, and gives beautiful ocean views for riders as they cross the picturesque Robert Moses Parkway Bride towards the Jones Beach area. While the riders enjoy the sights, thousands of residents and visitors line the streets along the ride to offer patriotic support and cheers. At the end of the Soldier Ride, a beach-front community picnic awaits riders where they can enjoy a meal and camaraderie with other attendees.

“The Soldier Ride represents the best of our community coming together for our warriors who did so much for our country,” said Jim Bruzgis, Chief Pilot, JFK. “From a feel good, volunteering event, there’s nothing better than this one. If you love to ride, this is the event for you.”
