With so much world to see, choosing your next destination can be tough. Known for its rich history and gorgeous views, Rome is a common destination for many because of its tourist attractions and delicious Italian food. MSP Lead Stores Clerk Fazia Said had always wished to travel to the beautiful capital city of Rome, and her dream finally came true.

What was your destination and why did you choose it?

Rome, Italy. Since I was a little child I dreamt of going there at least once in my lifetime. There’s so many breathtaking monuments, incredible works of art, and 4,000 years of history that I just couldn’t pass up getting a chance to see.

What route did you take to get there?

I flew from MSP to JFK, and then flew from JFK to Rome.

Where did you stay while you were there?

We rented an Airbnb.

What was your favorite memory or activity?

My favorite part was visiting the Colossuem and the Roman Forum. I also loved visiting the Vatican Museum and seeing Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel in person. However, if I’m being honest, my favorite part of the whole trip had to be the food.

Do you have any tips you’d like to share?

First and foremost, I would recommend buying your tickets in advance to try to avoid long lines. I would also encourage travelers to avoid tourist restaurants.
