As bright rainbow flags fly high, Endeavor Air Captain Devyn Williams shows his “pride” in being a member of the LGBTQ+ community – during the month of June, and all year long.
For Devyn, the journey to becoming a pilot was more than just a career choice; it was an opportunity to continue breaking barriers. A New York-based Captain and an active member of the National Gay Pilots Association (NGPA), Devyn understands the importance of representation and visibility.
“Being able to see that there is no limit to being a pilot, no matter who you are, makes it all worth it,” Devyn said. “NGPA has been a nice community to be able to fall back on and ask questions no matter the time or circumstance.”
Joining NGPA has provided Devyn with a supportive community that shares a passion for aviation and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry. Devyn has participated in various events and is now a mentor to other pilots in the organization.
Devyn, who joined Endeavor in 2019, also serves as a pilot recruiter for Endeavor’s talent acquisition team.

“There are so many awesome opportunities at Endeavor to expand your horizons beyond the flight deck,” Devyn said. “I think in the long run that makes you a better pilot, because you get to experience the behind-the-scenes of the company and meet future Endeavor employees. It’s exciting to potentially make a positive change in someone’s life with a job offer.”

In the flight deck and beyond, Devyn exemplifies the spirit of Pride Month, reminding us all that when we embrace our differences and celebrate our unique identities, we can reach new heights.
“This year I’ll be celebrating by going to Pride parades and spending time with friends. It’s important to remember that this wasn’t always possible for us to be open and happy about who we are. It’s really a blessing and a testament to those who came before us who couldn’t,” Devyn said.
