On the morning of September 11, 2018, Chris Finlayson, MSP Chief Pilot, donned his Minnesota National Guard dress uniform and warmed up his trumpet. As a member of the 34th Infantry Division “Red Bulls” Band, Finlayson took his position on a balcony overlooking the ticketing area of Minneapolis-St.Paul International Airport.

Flanked by our nation’s colors and airport first responders, Finlayson delivered a beautiful rendition of Taps, a ceremonial tribute song, to a silent airport terminal. The perfectly played tones echoed off the walls, and could be heard throughout the halls of MSP. You can watch the moment here:
