Georgia State of Mind: Endeavor Opens ATL CRJ-200 Base

On June 1, as Endeavor Flight 4076 touched down in Atlanta, a new chapter began for Endeavor Air.

A fifth crew and tenth maintenance base welcomed its first flight as part of the Endeavor network, marking a significant expansion for Delta’s only wholly-owned subsidiary regional airline.

Endeavor’s first arriving crew meets with ATL Tech Ops teams members on the morning of June 1.

This new Atlanta base joins Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, and both New York-JFK and New York-LGA as crew domiciles. More than 200 pilots, 100 flight attendants, and 60 maintenance technicians will service upwards of 17 lines of flying by the end of 2017. Endeavor currently operates more than 650 flights per day to over 130 cities across North America.

“Opening this Atlanta crew and maintenance base will allow us to bring the ‘gold standard’ of the Delta Connection fleet right to our mainline partners backyard,” noted John Daly, Chief Operating Officer, Endeavor Air. “Our crews are excited to be part of this new base which represents significant growth for our airline.”

Several members of Endeavor’s senior leadership team hustled between gates throughout the day, trying to meet flight crews who were flying in and out of Atlanta. Armed with treats and individual jars of peach jam, directors from Inflight, Crew Staffing, and Flight Ops were busy bouncing between the B Concourse, home of Endeavor’s temporary crew offices, and the D and E concourses where planes were parking.

Patty Allen, Director, Inflight Services, and Ron Pekar, Director, Crew Resources, met crew members between flights to express their appreciation and deliver special treats.

“This was an opportunity for us to meet and greet our crews who might not have had time to walk over to the offices in B,” said Patty Allen, Director, Inflight Services. “As much as we could, we tried to share our appreciation with our Atlanta-based crews – and all crews flying through the airport – for being a part of our team.”

Endeavor continues to hire pilots at a record pace. With more incentives to join the team – like first year earnings of more than $60,000, a $10,000 training completion bonus, rapid upgrade opportunities, and the only defined pathway to Delta with its Delta Guaranteed Interview Program – pilots can be a part of an airline that continues to redefine the regional industry.
