On January 26, Endeavor announced a new initiative to help prepare flight students for a successful career as an airline pilot. More than 30 students at the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in Melbourne, Fla., attended the official launch of STEP – Student to Endeavor Pilot – to learn about the program and sign up to participate.

Students at the Florida Institute of Technology learn about Endeavor’s new STEP initiative for flight school students
STEP is a program for aviation students and flight instructors at Endeavor’s focus schools and is designed to educate, encourage, and engage aspiring pilots. From flight school to flying the line, STEP gives participants special access to our team. Through regular visits to our STEP schools, special presentations, and one-on-one education sessions, Endeavor pilots and operations professionals will help participants navigate the steps required to join our team.
“As a future Endeavor pilot, we are committed to helping you be successful on your journey,” said Nancy Shane, Director, Pilot Sourcing and Industry Outreach. “As a STEP participant, you will be supported by a team of aviation professionals who will answer your questions, check in on your progress, and advise you along the way. It’s the first ‘step’ on your path to Endeavor, and eventually, to Delta Air Lines.”
No formal commitment or agreement to Endeavor is required to participate in STEP. Watch for more information about STEP launches at other flight schools this spring.
