Taking the Stress Out of the Season: Employees Give to Families in Need

With the holidays fast approaching, a group of Endeavor employees wanted to make sure they helped take the stress out of the season for area families in need.

Gently-falling snowflakes set the scene as employees loaded up bags and boxes full of gifts that had been collected over the past several weeks. The gifts, to be donated to local families through the Sponsor a Family MN organization, will make the season bright for 15 families, totaling 76 individuals. During this holiday drive, employee giving amounted to more than $6,000.

Spearheaded by Endeavor’s Finance team, this is the second year company employees have sponsored families from the Minneapolis-based non-profit organization. Employee groups could donate through two channels – by adopting an entire family, or by offering up “emergency needs” gifts to be distributed to those who might have not received a gift this holiday season. Dozens of Endeavor employees representing multiple departments participated, loading up offices with bags, boxes, and bins full of ‘wish list’ items for their sponsored families. The organization will package and prepare the gifts for pickup in its Minneapolis warehouse in the days leading up to Christmas.

“Seeing everyone come together for this means we’re truly emulating our core values every day,” said Adam Hunt, HR Recruiter. “I don’t know what these families are going through, but I’m proud to help make sure they enjoy the holidays the way many of us will – with presents under the tree on Christmas morning.”
