Endeavor Air and Delta Air Lines have integrated recruiting and pilot selection activities under the Propel brand, streamlining the journey to a Delta career. Propel offers a defined pilot career path for college students and CFIs who aspire to fly for Delta Air Lines.
In partnership with Delta, our team will support you throughout your entire journey. Through Propel, we offer a pilot career path to students at U.S.-based universities with flight education programs accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI), and graduates of select affiliate flight schools. Students can apply for Propel once they meet the selection criteria.

DELTA PROPEL FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When can I apply to Propel?
The Propel application is always open! Students can apply to Propel once they are within 12 months of reaching their ATP minimums.
How do I apply to Propel?
If you meet the qualifications to apply, you can apply directly through propel.delta.com. The selection process includes an application review, required testing, and an in‑person interview. Candidates who are successful are accepted into Propel and receive a Conditional Job Offer (CJO) with Endeavor Air, beginning their defined path toward Delta Air Lines.
What are the minimums to apply?
Eligibility to apply depends on your background:
- Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) at U.S. based universities that have flight programs accredited by AABI can apply when they are within 12 months of meeting Restricted ATP requirements.
- Certified Flight Instructors (CFIs) at Propel affiliate flight schools who completed flight training at their school can apply when they are within 12 months of meeting ATP requirements.
I was a STEP student with Endeavor Air. Am I still in the program?
Although we are discontinuing our STEP program, current STEP students will automatically be rolled into the Propel Talent Community. Endeavor Air will still visit the affiliated schools at campus events and be available throughout the year.
My school isn’t affiliated with Propel. Can I still apply?
If you currently have a conditional job offer (CJO), your status remains unchanged. If your school is not in the Propel affiliate network, you can still apply; however, priority will be given to candidates who received their flight ratings and are instructing at Propel affiliate schools.
How can I stay engaged with Propel team before I’m eligible to apply?
Students can join the Propel Talent Community before they are eligible to apply. By joining, you can engage with the Propel and Endeavor teams through campus events and Propel newsletters to stay informed about the program. We recommend keeping your profile up to date until you meet application requirements to apply. This allows you to build relationships and stay connected throughout your journey.
What will make me stand out as a Propel candidate?
The most competitive candidates are those who were selected to instruct at the Propel affiliate schools from which they earned their flight ratings. Strong Propel candidates demonstrate professionalism, consistency, and a clear commitment to aviation as a long‑term career at Delta Air Lines. Key factors include maintaining a solid training record, actively engaging with the Propel Talent Community, demonstrating strong decision‑making and leadership skills, and building meaningful relationships with the Propel and Endeavor teams.
