Nine Endeavor Air aircraft maintenance technicians (AMTs) were recently named to the inaugural AMT Recruitment Team. The new team will join Talent Acquisition representatives on the road at career fairs, industry events, and more to help recruit top maintenance talent. Representing several of Endeavor bases, the technicians will provide prospective candidates with a closer look at the daily work and life as an Endeavor technician.
“When recruiting AMTs, having experienced technicians ‘talk shop’ with students is really important,” said Marizon Bellone, manager of talent acquisition for technical operations and corporate positions. “Students want to have their questions answered and learn from someone who has experienced what they are currently going through and in their career.”
In addition to recruitment events, AMT Recruiters will champion Endeavor’s Aviation Maintenance Pathway (AMP) program. The AMP program is a partnership between Endeavor and 19 aviation maintenance schools which enables students currently working towards their A&P licenses to access talent acquisition employees as a resource for questions about when to apply, the hiring process, and more.
“Through the AMP program, we want to engage, mentor and educate students on a future career path with Endeavor,” Marizon said. “Having the AMT Recruiters on-hand at AMP school visits will provide another opportunity for our subject matter experts to answer any questions and help potential candidates feel reassured before they start their career.”
The addition of the AMT Recruitment Team comes from the success of similar programs at Endeavor with pilots and flight attendants – both engaging with prospective candidates and working to recruit top talent in their respective fields.
“Our main goal is to give every future technician high transparency in the daily work Endeavor accomplishes,” Marizon said. “The AMT Recruitment Team will play a large role in identifying top candidates to ensure Endeavor Air is the Premier Regional Airline.”
