A leader at Endeavor’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) maintenance base recently received industry recognition as one of Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) Magazine’s “40 Under 40 Maintenance Professionals.”
Hanzalah Qureshi, Endeavor’s Maintenance Operations Manager in LGA, was recognized for his work ethic, passion for continuous learning, and dedication to bridging communication gaps to help younger technicians succeed.
“Receiving this award has shown that my managers and peers recognize me as someone that is helping them,” Hanz said. “If I can provide an environment where people come to work and are happy, help further an individual’s development, and be someone my technicians trust, I will continue doing that.”
Hanz has been in a leadership role in the NYC area for 8 of his 10 years at Endeavor. As he transitioned into the supervisor and operational manager roles, he gained the trust of his technicians by adjusting his leadership and communication styles to fit their needs.
“The way our newer technicians learn and the type of leadership they need are different than years prior,” Hanz said. “They require more hands-on learning, and it’s my goal to help bridge communication with the actual work. I’m also available for our technicians to help guide them in other areas as well, assisting with 401(k)s and personal growth conversations, too.”

While many individuals have played a part in Hanz’s own development, the “40 Under 40” recipient has achieved success by being a continuous learner throughout his career.
“I spend a lot of time reading, asking questions to understand, and learning how something operates to the fullest extent,” Hanz said. “I continue this process to help myself, but in case someone comes to me wanting to know how something works, I’m prepared to help them.”
Halfway through his Endeavor tenure, Hanz decided to pursue a degree in Business Administration at Queens College, receiving his degree in 2017.
“Finishing my degree not only helped me accomplish a personal goal, but it taught me a lot about communicating with others,” Hanz said. “I learned many interpersonal skills that have helped with managing different personality types and working styles. It also helped me understand the business side of Endeavor and the importance of compliance and protocols.”
In addition to his “40 Under 40” recognition, Hanz was selected by his Endeavors peers for the 2024 Endeavor’s Elite award. Hanz was nominated for his leadership, dedication to the operation, and commitment to safety and procedures, and he will receive his award at a company recognition event later this month.
